The Word Contemporary

I don’t know about you, but lately I’ve been seeing the word contemporary a lot. Contemporary books on BookTuber channels, blogs, and the library, and contemporary music on Pandora. Weird, right? But I still don’t know what contemporary means. According to books, it seems to be a coming-of-age, love story genre. With music, it seems indie and kind of the opposite of pop, if you know what I mean. I’m just really confused about this contemporary thing!

So, I’ve decided to look it up on Google…

The results:

1. Living or occurring at the same time.

2. Belonging to or occurring in the present.

It’s the second one, I think.

Well, I’ve cleared up contemporary for those of you curious. It helped me!

Off to write.
