Welcome to my blog!
My name is Chloe.
I usually don’t bite.
I’m an avid reader, writer, and fangirl. I am a loyal Potterhead, demigod, Divergent, and Shadowhunter, to name a few. I also dabble in The Hunger Games, Delirium, Matched, and many more fandoms that I cannot possibly list right now, seeing that there is not enough room and I cannot possibly remember them all. But yes, I do enjoy my fandoms, so if you are a fellow fan, feel free to talk to me!
You can usually find me at school, studying subjects such as algebra, math, and humanites, and struggling through science and P.E. I excel in the creative arts, although I did make an appearance as Maria in my school’s production of “The Sound of Music.” [Mind you, each class had their own section of the play, so I was only one of many leads, if that makes sense. I was very proud of myself for beating all the other girls in the competition to be the lead memorizing the many lines.]
I dance just about as well as a clumsy purple rhinoceros struggling to get out of quick sand while being hit in the face with a broom. Which is to say, not very well.
I am [slightly] obsessed with Taylor Swift. I have been listening to her music for at least five years. So I will probably reference her here. Don’t be alarmed. It’s perfectly natural.
As for my reading habits, well, I like to think of myself as a fast reader, but compared to some other book bloggers, I’m a snail. I finish on average a book per week. I enjoy Young Adult (YA) contemporary, dystopian, science fiction, fantasy, and romance. AKA whatever YA book you throw at me, I’ll read. I review all the books I read, unless I am utterly ashamed/disgusted/traumatized/etc.
I mentioned above that I am a writer. That is very true. I know many bloggers put “aspiring writer” or “teen writer” or some other half-wit hogwash like that. I, however, refuse to stoop that low. I am just a writer. I may be a teen, unpublished, and quite good at procrastinating [one of my many talents], but I am still a writer. So stop with the nonsense and just say you’re a writer! Because you are.
I have many talents. Like procrastinating, vegetating, speaking in a British accent [sadly I only have Britsih heritage], attempting to speak Spanish [even though this is my eight year of taking it, if you ask me how to say “giraffe” in Spanish I will probably make a thousand excuses as to why I cannot remember that exact word and then discreetly Google it], fangirling, excessively buying books, eating chocolate, and pretending to sleep. My other [probably much more noteworthy] talents are playing violin a bit, singing a bit [who knows; I may sound like a dying cat being dragged across a cactus], typing with three fingers, writing essays, and coming up with absolutely mortifying truths and Dauntless-esque dares.
If you’d like to contact me, check out my social media. I have no life, so I will respond in a very little time. [Unless I’m doing something incredibly important, like running away from ghosties on Pac-Man. Then your message may have to sit for a while.] Follow this blog, read my posts, and comment. :)
Hey there Chloe! I nominated you for a bloggy award: http://adventuringthroughpages.wordpress.com/2014/10/12/sisterhood-of-the-world-bloggers-award/
Thank you. :)
A Swifty! I love Taylor Swift as well! I totally agree with you about ” stop with the nonsense and just say you’re a writer!” thing, I see that a lot; it’s mildly irritating. Just wanted to drop a comment to tell you your blog is lovely!
Yes! Swifties unite!
I don’t get it. You either write or you don’t; there’s no in between to me.
Thank you! :) You’re lovely for saying that.
